The Big Genny converts low voltage, direct current (DC) to 110-volt Pure Sine Wave alternating current (AC). The inverter draws power from 12-Volt DC Lithium Ferro Phosphate (LFP) batteries included in the Big Genny. These batteries are similar to those used in marine, golf cart, fork-lift and other high current 12-Volt applications. The Big Genny provides power security and seamless integration with either a solar photovoltaic (PV) charging source (with Emergency Power Kit) or traditional / AC charging source.

SimpliPhi Power’s BOSS.12 carbon-steel enclosure is a weather-resistant battery bank housing and wiring solution with built-in shelving. The BOSS consolidates a PHI battery bank paired with any SimpliPhi-compatible Balance of System equipment and can provide additional battery capacity to a SimpliPhi ExprESS or AccESS fully integrated unit. They include terminal blocks for electrical wiring in parallel, busbar-to-terminal block battery cabling, and terminal block to inverter cabling when ordered. The BOSS.12 has been UL 9540 Certified when used with our AccESS 12K with Sol-Ark and with Sol-Ark 12K Inverters.

SimpliPhi Power Mounting Brackets are designed to secure one PHI 3.8 kWh Smart-Tech Battery to a load bearing surface. SimpliPhi Power Smart-Tech Batteries (PHI 3.5) can be mounted in practically any orientation (Terminals Up, Down, On Side). The brackets can be mounted directly to a wall or can be arranged on strut channels for ease of positioning.

SolarEdge completes their home energy storage system with the energy bank battery. Fully integrated, with up to three* units capable of being integrated per inverter and three inverters per Backup Interface (sold separately), the SolarEdge energy storage system is capable of up to 87.3 kWh of energy storage. DC-coupling allows the Energy Bank system to deliver industry leading 94.5% round trip efficiency, maximizing the backup power available from the PV array. The design is also simplified, with less chance of a main breaker derate or service change, as the PV and Battery are combined in the Backup Interface, and therefore installed on the same breaker at the main service. The Energy Bank is also compatible with the SolarEdge Level 2 Smart EV Charger, that can driving on 100% solar energy. NEMA 3R rated, this battery can be installed indoors or outdoors, on the floor (floor stand purchased separately) or on the wall.

Lithium-iron-phosphate (LiFePO4 or LFP) is one of the safest lithium ion battery types. The nominal voltage of a LFP cell is 3.2V (2V/cell). A 12.8V LFP battery therefore consists of 4 cells connected in series.
